Wilfred Bion (1897-1979) made an outstanding contribution to
psychoanalysis, both clinical work and metapsychology. As 2029 and the 50th anniversary of his death (in 1979) approach, a bronze bust of Bion has been commissioned to celebrate him. Thus, he will join those of Freud and Klein at the London Institute of Psychoanalysis. This is the maquette that was made for this bust.
There is a limited edition of 25 and each comes with its own certificate of authenticity.
The maquette is cast in pigmented Jesmonite (acrylic based plaster) with a bronzed acrylic finish.
