The Peloton is a snap shot of speed, a moment in time and space - a testimony to the strength, determination and steeliness of a cycle race.
Inspired by Le Tour De France which shot past the artist's house in 2014, the work depicts what would be seen from behind the hedge with an absence of the streamlined mechanical vehicle they are straddled upon. The work not only investigates the dynamic human form within a celebratory social event but paradoxically questions the ultimate aim of teamwork through the repeat casts of the same form.
