Regressive Progression

2019
H117 W122 D165 cm
Reclaimed Jarrah wood sleepers, canvas and vinyl shopping bag, emulsion, glazed stoneware, clinker, gold leaf.

These portraits are infested with the rapid industrial progress of the past. Gnarly golden nuggets of clinker erupt from the skin's surface,  a
by-product of progress's wealth, prosperity and mass production. They sit upon discarded supports of an industrial revolution that migrated society - a society that has become the mass consumer.
The shopping bag overflows with the latest must-haves that then melt to a suffocating carpet of colour.
