Exhibited at Chelmsford Museum 2019, solo show - The Clinker Connection - When Humans Changed Nature.

There are 3 other portraits in this series. All exhibited as part of a solo exhibition at Chelmsford museum in 2019 - The Clinker Connection - When Humans Changed Nature.
Clinker is the evidence left behind from the processes of industrial production and it is these gnarly nuggets of history that hold stories of progress and change.
With the idea of material, process and colour as metaphor, the work translates industrial ancestry, mass production and consumption.
The exhibition explored ideas of progress through metamorphosis of time and matter and aimed to question its effect on our delicate environment.
