Porcelain, clinker, 24ct gold leaf, melted plastic bottles.

(on right in group)


Named after the destructive effect the warming of the sea is having on Earth's delicate coral reefs.

These vessels are created using porcelain, a symbol of wealth and prosperity, imbedded with clinker, a symbol of mass production, smothered with a layer of suffocating plastic.

This hierarchy of material expresses the paradox of progression.


Exhibited as an installation at Chelmsford Museum for a solo exhibition: The Clinker Connection - When Humans Changed Nature
